Bill, you may want to take a look at lightroom. I've seen great reviews and comments about it. 
I use CS4 and I'm use to its automated functionality, so there would be a huge learning curve but a great product. Many people uses only Lightroom and they are very happy with it. 
Try downloading the demo and check it.

Jorge, I did get a converter with the camera and it works great, I'm just not looking forward to another step in flow. Today I shot over 300 images, all bracketed thrice. I'll start looking at a ps upgrade. Although elements 6 is a great product. Thanks, Bill
