[HDR-photo] Noise

There are many workflows and techniques around. I’m follower of “helping” photomatix or Dynamic HDR (or whatever software you use) as much as you can. It’s a slower workflow but the results are better:
Open your bracketed files in Photoshop or the software you’re using, from there, correct white balance, color, chromatic aberration, etc and then use a good denoiser (I have DeNoise from Topaz Labs which is great). In this moment, you can create new exposures if required and then save as TIFF in 16 bits.
Use the TIFF files to produce the HDR.
Trying to use any denoiser in the final HDR file is very difficult since it’s no longer a “natural” noise and not all software can “register” it, therefore it’s more difficult to clean it and with automatic systems, since the noise is not completely recognized then the settings are too high.
I’ve done bracketed sets up to ISO 6400 with this method and works like a charm.
I hope this helps.

Hi Bill,
I am not sure what might be causing the problem, but I would sure like to try processing the set of bracketed images with Dynamic Photo HDR, to see if it has the same noise issues.
I assume you are using Photomatix,
Could you send me a file set?
I will be very careful, I promise,

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with noisy sky's. I'm now using photoshop elements and the denoise isn't getting the job done for me. Any thoughts? Bill
