[HDR-photo] Blending a single back in (was re: Critique requested)

Hi Ken --

Here's an example from the Luminous Landscape.  The principle is the same,
although a slightly different use.  With an HDR, you'd probably manually
"paint out" the black mask and then apply a gaussian blur on the mask to
ensure it's smooth.  But LL shows the technique.
