[HDR-photo] CS4 question

Not sure what you mean.

Bottom line is: 32-bit capabilities are identical between CS2, CS3  
Regular and CS4 Regular.
Extended is where you'll see a major improvement from CS2 to CS3, but  
only minor tweaks in CS4.
