In the interim, you can export to TIFF and merge to HDR using those files.
There are actually advantages to doing it that way besides lack of support
for all the RAW formats - you can fix lens aberrations that would get
exaggerated during the HDR process, remove dust spots, fix the white
balance, etc. all before you start manipulating the exposures together as an
HDR. Lightroom makes the batch updates fairly easy.
