[HDR-photo] Open exr files

Hi Steve,

in Photomatix Pro using File > Open you can load previously saved OpenEXR files or save a just created HDR-Image (HDR > Generate) as an OpenEXR file using File > Save as . Once you opened or created an HDR-Image in Photomatix Pro you can use the Tonemapping-Tool on it, for example.

  Hi all,

  I read somewhere in the documentation that Open exr files can be used, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to use these file types in Photomatix and also possibly explain how they benefit Photographers. 

  I know what an exr file is so dont require info on them, just info on how to use in conjunction with Photomatix.
