Generally speaking, this is not correct. Most, if not all, raw
converters that use (and acknowledge) dcraw, only use it's decoding
algorithms to read the different raw formats; they all claim that
they use their own interpretation algorithms, starting with the
demosaicing algorithm. AFAIK then, there is no basis for expecting
that all dcraw-based (or dcraw-using) converters yield similar images...
