This is a known issue, but not easy to fix for the reasons that Royce gave. In
any case, the issue is the same with the standalone.

The plugin and the standalone are based on exactly the same engine, but each
program is developed separately. So, the plug-in will have to be updated to a
new version in order to include new functionality of Photomatix Pro. 

The tone mapping plugin will be upgraded soon (should happen before CS3 is
out). However, the standalone Photomatix Pro will remain the first to be
updated when future improvements are added to the tone mapping function.
