Thanks for your reply. Yes I am using an Epson 2100 with color management
software. I think my problem may be calibration. I have been eyeballing
the monitor-printer relationship up to now with good results though.

One thing that was not mentioned explicitly, but should be for
completeness: do you have a colour-managed printer? Otherwise the
colours may not correspond at all.
