[HDR-photo] I'd like to buy a new camera with an eye to doing HDR photography.

Hi Tom,

I did share the same concerns, and was shocked to find out that LCD
preview is a new thing in DSLR. However, after using a D200 for a
while now, I got used to looking through the lens. And now I
appreciate it to the point where I don't want to miss it anymore. No
LCD screen gives you enough resolution to judge focus the same way as
looking through an optical system. There is also no delay, and
since you got your eye right on the viewfinder, it effectively fills
your entire field of view. Lets you concentrate much better on
composition.

On a related note, yes, the D200 can boost 9 brackets with 1 EV
difference. And it does that pretty fast. I wish it would allow
incrementing in 2 stop intervals, though, to cover more range.
Currently, doesn't get you any further than 5 brackets with 2 stop
intervals.

Honestly, if you can afford to wait until February, I would look out
for the Fujis FinePix S5 Pro. It has the D200 body that I learned to
love, but a sensor that gives you more dynamic range to begin with.

Best regards,
Christian Bloch
