[HDR-photo] I'd like to buy a new camera with an eye to doing HDR photography.

Thanks to all of you for good suggestions!

Sorry for the delay, I was doing a lot of research. I still haven't
quite narrowed down what to buy yet -- but I'm now much surer that
I'll make a decision I won't regret in the morning.

I believe that I'm willing and able to have a windows machine around
to do my experimentation so I will be able to use DSLR Remote Pro.
This seems like all around the best solution... if I can get my Mac
laptop to run it, so much the better.

I spend too much time programming so I'm not willing to tweak software
to make it work. I'd be happy with something with "a lot of knobs to
tweak".

My experienced friend just gave me a big pitch for the Canon EOS 5d --
I am particularly taken by the low-light and full-frame features.
While this is out of my stated budget, my budget is quite flexible....
I realized that after umpteen thousand digital photos, I have a strong
commitment to digital photography and am willing to spend the money if
I can really see the desired results

He also mentioned that the D200 does up to 9 frame bracketing. !

Thanks again for the help and sorry for the disorganized nature of
this exploration. :-D
