[HDR-photo] I'd like to buy a new camera with an eye to doing HDR
photography.

I'd never heard of this PTP protocol before but it seems like
something I'd really want -- because then I could even write software
to control the camera myself if I got industrious or at least could
use other people's software.
Food for thought -- I'll start researching.
A shame that no camera allows wide bracketing -- if I'm photographing
humans, readjusting the camera between takes is probably out of the
question. I'll bet someone will have that feature soon but not soon
enough for me....
